Translated 1957 propaganda poster and map touting the Soviet Union’s Sixth Five-Year plan
The poster shows a group of four attractive and very determined-looking workers arrayed in front of the flags of the Soviet republics, apparently looking off into the distance at a glorious Socialist future. Above them is an outline map of the Soviet Union highlighting the contributions to the economy of its major cities and regions, each represented by symbols for dams, factories, mines, agriculture, and so on.
